Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun and Deputy Special Representative Alex Wong will travel to New York December 11. While in New York, Deputy Special Representative Wong will join U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Kelly Craft, as she presides as council president over a UN Security Council meeting on North Korea, including a comprehensive update on recent developments on the Korean Peninsula. To inform the Council’s discussion, Special Representative Biegun will meet with UN Permanent Representatives prior to the Council session during a lunch hosted by Ambassador Craft.
