Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo met today with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin. Secretary Pompeo and Chancellor Merkel discussed the joint efforts of the United States and Germany to end the division of Germany and to expand freedom in Europe. The Secretary and the Chancellor also discussed key shared priorities, and the essential role the U.S.-German partnership plays today in addressing global and emerging challenges.
