The United States and Singapore have long maintained and enjoyed a valuable partnership since establishing diplomatic relations more than 50 years ago. Our friendship is strongly rooted in close economic and security cooperation and in a common desire for stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. We look forward to strengthening this relationship and to continuing the cooperation on shared opportunities and challenges in the coming years and beyond.
Congratulations on the 54th anniversary of your independence. I wish you a year filled with peace, prosperity, and happiness.
