WireNews expands Press Card scheme to include citizen journalists, bloggers

WireNews was founded in April 2001, by a small group of journalists and offers an Internationally recognised press credential.

Initially reserved only for accredited journalists, WireNews has now expanded its credential scheme to allow reputable citizen journalists and bloggers to apply for its Internationally recognised press card.

WireNews charges just £59.99 per year for its press card, far less than Union dues or most of the plastic cards available on the Internet.

With more than 350,000 registered journalists, WireNews journalists collectively represent a huge cross-section of mainstream media, newspaper journalists, photojournalists, and now citizen journalists.

The first step is to register with WireNews. For more information visit http://presscards.org.
