The Left’s hatred of cultural appropriation and the changing racial identity and falsified family histories of anyone who does not immediately agree with their world-view is well-known.
Accusations against their opponents of being a racist, culturally insensitive, or having benefited from the culture of a minority group is a well-worn mantra by Leftists.
One of the loudest voices on the Left, on this topic, is Whoopi Goldberg.
The successful actress and activist has been the moderator of the talk show The View since 2007.
Caryn Elaine Johnson, known professionally as Whoopi Goldberg, claims to be Jewish. In fact, she's not Jewish.
Johnson was born in New York City's Manhattan borough on November 13, 1955, the daughter of Robert James Johnson Jr., a Baptist clergyman, and Emma Harris, a nurse and teacher. She was raised in the Chelsea-Elliot Houses.
But regarding her stage surname, Goldberg, Wikipedia says:
[Whoopi] said in 2011, "My mother did not name me Whoopi, but Goldberg is my name, it's part of my family, part of my heritage. Just like being black", and "I just know I am Jewish. I practise nothing. I don't go to temple, but I do remember the holidays." She has stated that "people would say 'Come on, are you Jewish?' And I always say 'Would you ask me that if I was white? I bet not.'" One account recalls that her mother, Emma Johnson, thought that the family's original surname was "not Jewish enough" for her daughter to become a star.
Researcher Henry Louis Gates Jr. found that all of Goldberg's traceable ancestors were African Americans, that she has no known German or Jewish ancestry, and that none of her ancestors were named Goldberg.
Results of a DNA test, revealed in the 2006 PBS documentary African American Lives, traced part of her ancestry to the Papel and Bayote people of modern-day Guinea-Bissau. Her admixture test indicates that she is of 92 percent sub-Saharan African origin and of 8 percent European origin.
As everyone knows, Senator Elizabeth Warren lied about being a Native American. Joy Behar, also of The View, wore 'blackface' and then lied about it when challenged by Donald J Trump Jr., despite the fact that there was a public photo on which she described herself as being 'a beautiful African American woman'.
The list of Leftists, both celebrities and politicians, who have benefited from cultural appropriation is long but because those on the Left have collectively short memories, no integrity and shifting values, they are always trying to out-left the last Leftist. The result is a one-upmanship competition, with no logical end in sight.
Whoopie Goldberg isn't Jewish and Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself.
